Nearly 500 Stay Green Inc. employees and family members attended the event, which was held in the evening as a special nod to employees who work in the hot sun. The event featured carnival rides, a photo lounge, caricature and balloon artists, face painting, and an assortment of carnival-style food and refreshments.
“We think it’s vital to let our employees know how much we appreciate them, particularly in this challenging economy,” said Chris Angelo, Stay Green Inc. president and chief executive officer. “We feel fortunate to be able to pull off a great event like this one, and we are so appreciative of the numerous sponsors who supported the carnival and helped make it possible so that our employees could know how much we value their service to our customers and company.”
A strong advocate of employee appreciation events that boost morale, Angelo noted,
“This carnival was about much more than food and fun, although there was plenty of both. It was about spending time with our employees and their families, outside the work setting, and expressing our thanks for their hard work serving our valued customers.”
During the carnival, there were raffles and employee honors, as Angelo and his father, company founder Rich Angelo, presented awards to employees who reached anniversaries marking five, 10, 20, and 30 years of service. Two Stay Green Inc. employees, Jose Pelayo and Juan Perez, received 30-year service awards.
Richard and Charlene Angelo founded Stay Green Inc. in 1970, in California’s San Fernando Valley. Today, led by son Chris Angelo, Stay Green Inc. continues to serve its existing clients and open new markets across Southern California, building on its reputation for quality and service.
